Messapian testimony are also the remains of the ancient Cyclopean walls that surround the town. The historic center exhibits an original variety of styles, from the fourteenth-century castle to the eighteenth-century Cathedral, in Gothic style, up to the Church of Sant'Antonio and the bishop's palace. It is a fascinating itinerary that leads to the discovery of rock churches such as the Crypt of the Crucifix and the Church of the Madonna of Constantinople, the Church of Santa Maria del Casale. Of exceptional beauty are their clear and wonderful beaches: the marinas of Ugento: Torre San Giovanni, Torre Mozza, Lido Marini.
